Goal of Position:
Lunches for Literacy volunteers create nutritious lunches for the Simpson Housing Services K-5 Literacy Mentoring Program. Students and their mentors have a monthly opportunity to explore the Twin Cities through educational and exciting outings. These experiences include field trips to museums, volunteering, and creative hands on activities like pumpkins carving. Proper nutrition is vital for the students and their mentors to sustain themselves for the day to fully enjoy their experience. Volunteers purchase the food items needed for the lunches, prepare them offsite and then deliver to our administrative offices. Approximate cost is $100 - $120 for 20-35 lunches. This will vary depending on final number of lunches needed and where you choose to purchase items.
Timeframe
Delivery is the Friday before an outing. The ideal time for delivery is between 8:00 am - 2:15 pm.
Location
Deliver to Bell House - 2100 Pillsbury Ave S. Minneapolis, MN 55404
