Are you interested in meeting people from all over the world? We're looking for people of all ages who want to be part of the travel community!
HI San Francisco Fisherman Wharf is looking for volunteers to host wine and cheese receptions in the lounge for international travelers to meet one another and enjoy some free local wine and snacks. This is a fun activity for both guests at volunteers to casually interact with each other.
Volunteers are an essential part of the hostelling movement, playing a key role in sharing their own life experience and passion for travel with travelers locally and from around the world. HIUSA volunteers are vital contributors to the future of hostelling by providing innovative ideas and resources, and by serving as hostelling ambassadors in their local communities.
The benefits of volunteering with HI USA include:
- Meet new people from all over the world, including travelers, staff, and fellow volunteers
- Work to increase understanding and tolerance by helping people break down cultural barriers
- Help travelers to the community have a great travel experience
- Build skills in public speaking, foreign languages and intercultural communication
- Participate in fun appreciation events for local volunteers
- Receive personal and professional development opportunities
- Earn HI USA membership and dorm overnights at HI USA hostels
