WILLITS CENTER FOR THE ARTS
The Willits Center for the Arts is seeking creative individuals who are interested in becoming Gallery Hosts.
The Gallery Host is a vital position at the gallery as you are responsible to greet all guests and make them feel welcome, answer any questions and makes sales. Ideally interested volunteers should have knowledge of using a Galaxy Tablet and Spotify but will be trained if not.
This is a great way to meet local artists as well as visitors from all over.
Two shifts are available Wednesday through Sunday 11:00-2:00pm and 2:00-5:00pm which you can choose as few or as many days as you like.
Come join our unique team at the beautiful Willits Center for the Arts.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About WILLITS CENTER FOR THE ARTS
PO BOX 503, WILLITS, CA 95490, US
The Willits Center for the Arts’ mission is to support active cultural participation and artistic expression in the City of Willits and its surrounding communities by providing a public space for gallery shows, arts activities, education, cultural activities, and community enrichment.
In 1993 the city of Willits formed a Cultural Arts Commission of seven members who, with the help of volunteers, would focus on renovating the historic Women's Improvement Club (circa 1926) into a cultural arts center for the community. It took seven years, countless volunteer hours and many fund raising events to complete the downstairs which opened in February 2000.
Eight more years of equally hard work and the upstairs great room was opened. This room not only increases exhibit space, but provides a venue for music and dance performance as well as community events.
