PAHS

The Plainfield Area Humane Society (PAHS) is looking for passionate volunteers to join our Fundraising and Marketing Committee. Ideal candidates will have the following experience/interests:

  • Experience with planning and logistics of fundraising events.
  • Willingness to take the lead on managing specific fundraising events.
  • Able to help with local community outreach to increase visibility and attendance/sponsorship for events.
  • Bring in network of local contacts to help build the income of PAHS events on a yearly basis.
  • Flexibility to meet with committee members once a month (fourth Tuesday of every month) in the evening.

To find a safe, loving and appropriate home for every homeless pet, including those with special needs or challenges. We strive to treat, heal and provide optimal well-being for the animals placed in our care; and to create an environment where our animals receive love, respect and attention.

Description

The Plainfield Area Humane Society is a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization, governed by a Board of Trustees. We have been in continuous operation since 1933.

In addition to caring for and rehabilitating stray, abandoned and unwanted animals, PAHS provides programs on pet care and responsible ownership for scout, school, church, business and library groups by appointment and at no charge.

These programs cover the social, health and humane aspects of living with domestic
and wild animals in our urban and suburban communities.
