During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Come join us and help us prepare for our Saturday food distribution. Every Friday morning from 8:30-11 am, we make pre-packed food bags, load-in deliveries, sort fresh produce, and make sure we are ready for our shoppers to come on Saturday morning. Come serve with us and learn more about our community and how we serve our neighborhood!
Please read through the safety information below and let us know if you have any questions.
Safety for Shoppers and Volunteers
We are serving a very vulnerable population and are taking every precaution to keep our whole community safe. We also will not risk the health and safety of our staff and volunteers. Otherwise, we risk all of us becoming sick. To that end, we are asking everyone to follow this health protocol while volunteering with us at the Riverwest Food Pantry:
We understand that there may be differing opinions regarding how to best navigate the outbreak of COVID-19. However, after considering the CDC health guidelines and the vulnerable community members we serve, we have decided as an organization that this is the necessary protocol for our staff and volunteers to follow to keep everyone safe.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

The mission of the Riverwest Food Pantry is to "come together around food to relieve hunger, improve lives and grow community well-being." We see food as an entry point into peoples’ lives, which provides an opportunity to improve social dynamics, nutritional health, and the quality of life of all who enter. We pursue our mission by cultivating a "community of generosity." Every relationship is grounded in the reality that "every person has a gift to give and every person has a gift to receive."
