Are you ready for hands-on activism? We are seeking volunteers to join our Truck Team and help to pick up donations of furniture and household items throughout the region for the families A Wider Circle serves.
Our Essential Support Program focuses on providing basic need items for the home to our neighbors seeking to rise out of poverty. The donations we receive include household furniture, linens, kitchen items, toys, and professional clothing and accessories. With the help of volunteers like you, A Wider Circle is able to furnish 20 homes free of charge each day for our neighbors in need - that's 4,500 families served each year!
We ask that Truck Team volunteers are at least 18 years old, strong enough to carry half of a sleeper sofa, and able to commit to a half day or full day of volunteering. Opportunities are available seven days a week.More opportunities with A Wider Circle

Description
A Wider Circle is a 501(c)(3) grassroots nonprofit organization that provides holistic support to families in need. We furnish the homes of children and adults who are transitioning out of domestic violence or homeless shelters, or who are simply living without what most of us take for granted - beds, dressers, sheets, towels, and other basic need items. We offer educational programs on topics ranging from job skills and money management to stress management and other life skills. We also provide wrap-around support to those seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce, including professional attire, education, and one-on-one support. We work with the most vulnerable among us, and we do whatever we can do to help them move toward stability and independence.
