Gear up for Halloween at the Miami Children’s Museum, and check out our latest Haunted Exhibit. Guests will partake in some spooky science experiments, and learn to cast shadows in our Art Studio. Kids may join a Creepy Light Play, and watch our Theater Troupe’s original show, The Monsters Under My Bed. On the weekend, there will be for trick-or-treating sessions throughout the day.
Volunteers duties
These are some of the duties that you may encounter as a volunteer during that event
- Assist with arts and crafts activities (Shadow art, spooky science, etc)
- Hand out candy at trick or treating stations
- Guiding groups through the Haunted House
- Shadow Museum Educators
- Assist the theater troupe with crowd control
- Appropriate costumes are encouraged
- Please no masks
- Close toed shoes only
In order to apply you must be 16+ and must attend a mandatory orientation.
Mandatory background check, drug screening and fingerprinting for anyone 18+

The Miami Children's Museum is a non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in our multicultural community. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to play together, learn, imagine and create. The museum offers interactive exhibits, programs, and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication.
Founded in 1983, the Miami Children's Museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning and enabling children to realize their highest potential. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to play together, learn, imagine and create. Located on Watson Island, the 56,500-square-foot facility includes 14 galleries, classrooms, parent/teacher resource center, Subway restaurant, KidSmart educational gift shop and 200-seat auditorium. The museum offers hundreds of bilingual, interactive exhibits; programs and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication.
