Hello!

The City of Fairfield is on the search for volunteers to participate in our upcoming Fall RASKALS program, individual and group teams are invited!

What is RASKALS? -

  • Random Acts of Simple Kindness Affecting Local Seniors (RASKALS) began in West Chester in 1996 when 11-year-old Emily Weber sent a letter to the township administrator searching for a project that would help her community. That initial desire evolved into what has become a twice-a-year event (spring and fall). The fall cleanup is the first Saturday in November (11/2/19).
  • The purpose of the RASKALS project is to help out senior citizens through random acts of kindness right here in Fairfield.
  • Chores include:
    - Raking leaves
    - Weeding flower beds
    - Picking up twigs and sticks
    - Washing first floor windows
    - Sweeping sidewalks
    - Trimming bushes and shrubs

The City will provide your team with three (3) yard bags, one (1) paper towel per household, one (1) bottle of window cleaner and tarps to move leaves, debris, small sticks and a RASKALS t-shirt!

Please email, mail fax or drop off your volunteer/registration form to me by Monday, October 14 th 2019 to guarantee your official RASKALS t-shirt!

Thank you all for your consideration!
