Event information: Miami Children’s Museum will host the 10th Annual Not So Scary Family Halloween Bash, Chaired by Kelly & Chris Melchiondo and Claudia Rodriguez & Oscar Rojas, on Sunday, October 20, 2019. Guests will trick or treat throughout the Museum’s 17 galleries from1-5PM, while also enjoying mini pumpkin decorating, story time, theater performances, character meet & greets, and more. Plus the Museum’s infamous haunted house will debut, providing guests with spooky tours. All funds raised for the event will directly support the Museum’s educational programs, ensuring the highest quality educational and arts programming for South Florida’s youth and families
Volunteers duties
These are some of the duties that you may encounter as a volunteer during that event
- Provide wristbands to ticket holders
- Provide maps and goody bags to guests
- Guide guests to a designated area
- Assist with arts and crafts activities (pumpkin decorating, science activity, etc)
- Assist the Development team in the VIP Room
- Hand out food to guests
- Trick or treating stations
- Appropriate costumes are encouraged
- Please no masks
- Close toed shoes only

The Miami Children's Museum is a non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in our multicultural community. The museum offers interactive exhibits, programs, and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication.
Founded in 1983, the Miami Children's Museum is dedicated to enriching the lives of all children by fostering a love of learning and enabling children to realize their highest potential. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to play together, learn, imagine and create. Located on Watson Island, the 56,500-square-foot facility includes 14 galleries, classrooms, parent/teacher resource center, Subway restaurant, KidSmart educational gift shop and 200-seat auditorium. The museum offers hundreds of bilingual, interactive exhibits; programs and learning materials related to arts, culture, community and communication.
