We are looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer at the OPC Sports and Pool Desks, as receptionists. We have shifts available from 6:30 AM to 9:00 PM Monday-Friday, and also on Saturdays from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Shifts have specific time frames. We are looking for volunteers who would like to commit to a weekly shift for at least a few months (possibly longer). You would be trained at your first day at the desk. You would need to greet members as they come to work out, ask them to sign in at our computer kiosk, take their money for their workout fees, and give them a pass to work out.
Please go to our website: OPCSENIORCENTER.ORG and complete a Volunteer Application(Get Connected / Volunteer), and print out a Volunteer Application and complete it. Send it to me via mail or email, along with a copy of your Driver's License. All volunteers 18 and over must have a background check, once approved I can schedule you. Please email me at DBURCAR@OPCSENIORCENTER.ORG, if you have specific questions. There are many other Volunteer Opportunities, I would love to speak with you about.
This is great for students who need Volunteer Service hours, and also retirees who would love to get out and meet friendly new people! There is some down time, and we encourage our volunteers to bring their homework or a book. Thank you for considering this!
