Have you ever thought about supporting someone whose biggest fear may be dying alone? Would you like to be part of a team pf compassionate volunteers, who are supportive presence at the end of someone's life? Our 24 Hour Vigil Volunteers support our hospice patients in the final 24 hours of life. Families are extremely appreciative of our 24 Hour Vigil Volunteers. You will be the relief for a family member or friend who has been sitting bedside and needs a break, you will be there when families don't live nearby, giving them piece of mind knowing their loved one will not die alone, you will be there for the patient who has no family. you will not have to do all 24 hours, you can sign up for a shift. (shifts vary depending on volunteer availability, shifts can be as short as 2 hours).

Training is free and you will be supported by our team!

Description

Hospice volunteers bring comfort, joy and love to patients who are terminally ill through their actions.

Volunteers simply need a caring heart and a willingness to serve. The extensive volunteer training program provides them with an awareness of patient's needs and prepares them to participate with the hospice team.
