The research and data intern will work with the Grants Manger to design and implement a client tracking model. They will help produce and conduct a phone survey of individuals and/or families who have participated in 1 or more of the 30+ programs of Catholic Charities. The intern will research best practices in data collection of this kind while working to create a tool that will be used to track the impact of services on individuals/families, for continuous quality improvement. The intern will then begin implementing this tool with past clients. Other duties as assigned. The intern should have good professional and interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate with a wide variety of people, the ability to write well and clearly, and experience with the Microsoft Suite. Good fit for students in social work, or with an interest in non-profits, community building and/or concepts related to program m evaluation. This is an unpaid internship.
Learning Objectives:
- Learning to be representative of an organization (CCANO), carrying yourself professionally with both previous clients and CCANO staff
- Experience building and using effecting communication techniques and strategies with different audiences
- Experience building, using and analyzing basic data collection tool
- Develop technical writing skills via data analysis reports and survey question development
Schedule: Flexible, must be available between 8:30 am and 5 pm Monday-Friday for between 5-20 hours per week. A minimum of 3 month commitment is required.

Description
Since 1938 Catholic Charities has been offering life-giving programs, advocating for the voiceless and empowering the most vulnerable to foster a more just society. Catholic Charities has over 22 programs and twoaffiliated ministries in the eight civil parishes of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Our programs engage and serve members of the community from pre-birth to the elderly but all of them fall under one of the following areas:

- education and young adults

- housing and homelessness
- disaster recovery
- immigration/refugee resettlement
- justice and employment
- physical and mental health
- pro-life services
