Make a true change in someone's life and join the fight to reduce food insecurity among our neighbors!
We are recruiting volunteer to help enroll people into CalFresh, California's food stamp program. This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity. Volunteers will meet with individuals to answer questions about CalFresh and help people to enroll in the program.
All volunteers will receive training on CalFresh and every aspect related to the CalFresh program. Volunteers will also receive on-going support from JFS staff.
Volunteers are asked to sign up for one shift per week, and each shift lasts about 3 hours. We offer multiple volunteer shifts throughout the week, so volunteers can help on a day that works best for them. This volunteer opportunity takes place in West Hollywood. We ask volunteers to make a 6 month volunteer commitment to the program.
