Urgent Need - no experience necessary!
Are you interested in seeing the inside of a commercial kitchen? You can! You can serve meals to the residents of Talbot house. Perhaps you would like to pack food boxes for distribution or greet and keep a count of lunch or dinner visitors.
Talbot House Ministries in Lakeland serves approximately 400 meals a day and their food pantry distributes more than 100 large food boxes each month.
Volunteers are needed daily to help feed the local homeless community.
There are shifts available for lunch and dinner; other times are also available. This will fit almost any schedule.

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
