Background:

For over 15 years, Esperanza’s mission has been to inspire hope and advance social justice for Southern California’s most vulnerable immigrant and refugee communities. We do this through a combination of advocacy, education, empowerment, and representation.

Opportunity:

Esperanza is looking for someone who can assist one of our clients who needs several documents translated from Arabic into English for their asylum application.
Time/Location:

This can be done from home. However, documents will be mailed to you for translation so proximity to Los Angeles is a plus.

Requirements:
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
  • Passion for Immigrant Rights!
  • No certification required

Description

Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Inc., serves espercially vulnerale immigrants fighting against removal from the United States. Esperanza mostly provides legal services to children who are fighting against removal, however Esperanza also has clients in federal immigration detention centers. Esperanza provides direct representation, pro bono placement and pro se legal education.
