Support the work of our Grief Counselor. Gain experience developing Plans of Care, perform needs assessments over the phone with those who have lost a loved one, and schedule counseling sessions. Connect the bereaved to community resources, assist with monthly mailings, and help with the bi-annual memorial service. This volunteer opportunity is well suited for a student who is pursuing a counseling, social work, nursing, medical/pre-med, or chaplaincy degree.

Our care teams specialize in pain and symptom management, as well as emotional and spiritual support for the patient and family. An individualized plan of care is developed for each patient based on comfort care measures needed and the wishes of the patient and family.
