Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Kindred Hospice!

If you are someone who has a heart full of compassion, loves to listen others and desires to serve those is need but do not feel that direct patient care is your calling, then we have the perfect opportunity for you to still have contact with our patients.

We are looking for that perfect person who has time and the ability, not to mention the heart, to come into our local office and make weekly calls to our caregivers and patients.

On Thursday's, around your schedule, our Tuck-In Volunteer calls not only our Hospice patients, but also their caregivers to ensure they have the medications and supplies they need for the weekend. Our Tuck-In Volunteers are also trained to ensure all equipment at the home is working properly.

Not only are our Tuck-In Volunteers making phone calls to reach our patients, they also have the opportunity to make birthday cards for the patients, as well as Christmas Cards.

New Volunteers are mentored and trained by the Volunteer Coordinator. Once they feel comfortable, they can start calling on their own. There is script to follow that tells you exactly what to say.
