Help Us Transform Lives at our Gala August 19th! Volunteers Needed! Living Well Disability Service's Transforming Lives Gala is our 50th anniversary celebration this year! We moved the event to the summer so we can have fun inside and outside, including dinner with an elevated State Fair Theme, silent & live auction, and entertainment by the band Good For Gary--all at a beautiful venue in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Proceeds from this event support innovations in service, accessibility, wellness, and technology to assist people with disabilities pursue their goals and live as independently as possible. We need your help to ensure a smooth running event and we have a variety of volunteer options available. Free parking and light meal for all volunteers. Each day at Living Well Disability Services we partner with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to realize their goals and potential in communities throughout the Greater Twin Cities metro area. Founded in 1972, Living Well Disability Services serves nearly 300 people in their family or own homes and in our 33 residential settings. We are dedicated to supporting health in mind, body and spirit through our 'culture of wellness’. Volunteers play an integral part in the lives of people as they spend their time in meaningful and enjoyable ways at home and in our communities.
