Do you enjoy teaching others? Are you an adult seeking a meaningful volunteer experience or a high school (NOTE, Community Service Hours!) or college student looking for ways to make you stand out in a job-hunting crowd? If yes, then our Volunteer Assistant English teacher position is right for you!

In this role, you will assist the Volunteer/Intern Lead English Teacher as they facilitate Alfalit Conversational English (ACE) classes to teach non-English speakers conversational English. All training and materials are provided to Volunteer Assistant English teachers free of charge. As a bonus, this position has potential advancement. Successful Volunteer English Assistant Teachers may be asked to apply for the Lead English Teacher role which may lead to part-time employment.

To be considered for this meaningful opportunity, you must have:

1. A command of the English language (non-native English speakers are welcome!)
2. (For students) An excellent academic standing
3. An affinity for or major in English, Education, or related fields of study
4. Verbal communication skills with the ability to explain concepts and ideas to others
5. The ability and willingness to commit to 4 hours per week, twice a day for 6-9 months (length depends on the progress of the class)
6. Verifiable references
7. A desire to change the lives of immigrant families and witness their empowerment thanks to education
