Community Care Development Network (CCDN) is a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization with a mission to help families, children, and individuals in the community. Our purpose is to help heal the whole family through our community-based programs.

​Impact Areas: Family & Life Services, Mentoring, Education, and Community Outreach

​What community problems do we help solve? Youth Peer Pressure Challenges, Adult Peer Conflict, and Lack of Communication, Education Challenges, Parental Challenges, Life Skills, and Job Challenges

About the Program

Life Services Thursdays. This is a program to help families with their everyday needs by filling in where they are short. We take in donations from the community retired clothes, shoes, houseware, and donated canned goods/dry goods to help provide for families. This program is designed to help fill in those gaps in between assistance programs and/or pay-periods. Clients receive an opportunity to engage in life service resources which include the following:

  • Workforce Development Training Opportunities & Job Resources
  • Life Resources-Rent & Utilities
  • Administrative Support Services
  • Support Services-Groups and Foundation

Schedule 1st & 3rd Thursdays monthly 1:00 PM-3:00 PM intake only
Schedule 2nd & 4thThursdays monthly 1:00 PM-3:00 PM resources, food, and clothes

NOTE:Food boxes and clothes are on a first come first serve basis. Requirements to receive food and clothes are a valid State Driver’s License or Government Issued ID, Intake form please obtain from the receptionist and check-in with the intake specialist.

Volunteer Needs:

  • Volunteer Assignments open on Wednesdays 1:00 pm-4:00 pm-Assists with separation and storage of donations, put together food boxes and set up tables for Life Services
  • Volunteer Assignments open on 2nd and 4th Thursdays 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
    -Reception-make sure visitors sign in
    -Help visitors take donations to their car
    -Help clean up after Life Services storing remaining donations

Community Care Development Network exists to restore and unify families by promoting community development education to empower and influence our community to grow.

Description

Community Care Development Network is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The organization seeks to exist to provide community-based and family unity leadership and education programs. This is important because of the many dysfunctions that surround our neighborhoods, home environments, and schools. We provide this work for the community, which is all inclusive of individuals and families which make up our community. Our geographic area is Birmingham Metropolitan District, Jefferson County, and surrounding areas for community collaborations of other nonprofit organizations that fall within the same scope of work we perform.

  • Adult and Youth Asset Enrichment-leadership programs for teens, young adults, and parents
  • Community Development-community-based events and enrichment including health and resource fairs.
  • Job Readiness Programs-job readiness programs for teens and adults with connection to job resources and access and development of career planning tools.
  • Growth and Leadership-leadership and goal setting workshops to help individuals in transition set effective goals helping them to grow.
