General Description
Outdoor gear takes up a lot of storage space and may get thrown away eventually. Choosing used gear over buying new saves money and it’s better for the environment. Dakota County is hosting an item swap in partnership with our Fix-it Clinics. Item swaps provide an opportunity for the community to leave their unwanted outdoor items and then take as many available outdoor items as they wish - for free. All gear and items left over after the event will be donated to a local reuse retailer.
Several volunteer opportunities are available to help at the Fix & Swap event. Volunteers will assist with greeting residents, weighing gear brought in, and keeping the swap area organized. This swap will focus on camping and outdoor gear and items.
