CMFCAA offers monthly respite events for all of the families we serve. Odyssey is a four-hour monthly event held in various counties across central Missouri. Volunteers are needed to supervise and maintain order amongst various ages of children. We fill the event with enrichment activities, play, and excitement for the kids. Volunteers will each support a small group of children as they go through the event activities.
Starting with some fun busy work to entertain the children as they arrive, we will then serve dinner once our capacity is reached. Volunteers will help set-up and serve dinner then clean-up as children are preparing for the next activity. Volunteers will be responsible for a small group (1/5) and will accompany them throughout the evening to be mentors and manage the needs of their group during the event.
Would like to hang out with kids and contribute to their healthy development? Get plugged in!

Mission Statement
The Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association is a not-for-profit agency that educates, supports and advocates for foster and adoptive children, youth and families in central Missouri by offering services and partnering with community and governmental agencies to develop healthy and self-sufficient individuals and families.
Description
Founded in 2007 by a former foster youth, foster parents, and adoptive parents, the CMFCAA is the only community service organization in the Central Missouri area that provides for the needs of our foster and adoptive children, youth and families beyond what the state provides. Currently, we are assisting 205 foster families, 1019 foster children, and 143 adoptive families in the Central Missouri area. Our goal is to be a support to the families, children and youth in this area, and we work tirelessly to provide much needed services to them.
