Are you looking to connect with others in your immediate community and be an important part of a supportive team?? At PruittHealth Hospice, volunteers are an essential part of the team in providing excellent service to our patients. Volunteers use their talents to connect to patients and their families and to serve as a companion to those during difficult times. Volunteers need to be committed to caring and have a passion for serving others in their community. Volunteers may spend their time reading to patients, playing music, playing cards/games with patients, connecting with their families, and countless other opportunities. As a volunteer, you will be fully trained and equipped with the knowledge and skills to work with hospice patients. Volunteers are the heart of PruittHealth Hospice and we would love to have you join our team!

Mission Statement

Our family, your family, ONE FAMILY. Committed to loving, giving and caring. United in making a difference.

Description

PruittHealth Hospice is our family-focused approach to end-of-life care that helps patients live their final days well cared for, pain-free and surrounded by their loved ones.

Hospice care does not hasten or postpone death, caring for the person rather than the disease, with a focus on quality rather than length of life. Hospice care is always family-centered, involving the patient and family in the decision-making process. PruittHealth delivers hospice care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the setting tailored to each patient’s individual needs. Hospice is not a place; it is a specialized service approach to end-of-life care
