Homeless Youth Drop-In Center
10 people are interested
HOPE 4 Youth was started by a group of concerned individuals after reading a newspaper article with the statistic that more than 500 youth were experiencing homelessness in Anoka County. Overwhelming community support helped us create a drop in center in Anoka to provide a safe environment where trust is built, basic needs are met and youth receive the resources they need to thrive. Some of the services offered include: education resources, showers, food, clothing, job search assistance, computers, game room, hot meals and more.
We need more volunteers to staff our drop in center. The center is open M-F, 2:00pm-7:00pm . Primary responsibility would be interaction with youth at the center, but could include greeting, intake, review of resources, job search, food and clothing support.
Must be 24 years of age or older and must pass an interview and background check.
