We are looking for some consistently scheduled volunteers to dedicate their time helping in Sammy’s Window (our free clothing closet dedicated to foster & adoptive families) at our Independence office. We are asking volunteers to be able to lift 20 pounds, hang/sort/organize/fold clothes, and package diapers. If you or someone you know is able to dedicate any amount of time on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis or have further questions please email Faye Woods at: faye@fosteradopt.org or call (816) 350-0215 Ext. 378.

Description
FosterAdopt Connect provides comprehensive support for abused and neglected children and the families caring for them. We believe it is in the context of family that children learn, grow, thrive and heal. To promote the permanency children need, we offer a broad range of services: foster, relative, and kinship home licensing; professional advocacy; specialized training; thorough family finding programs; in-home mental and behavioral health assistance; case management for foster care alumni; a safe place for children in our shelter; and physical support through our food pantry/clothing closet.

- We are asking that volunteers can commit to a dedicated day & time, whether it be, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. The time frame is choosen by the volunteer. Any time Mon-Fri 8am-5:00pm or the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 8am-Noon.
- Volunteers may need to lift a box of 10-20 pounds.
