We are in urgent need of volunteers to post flyers in Hayward, San Lorenzo, San Leandro & Castro Valley to recruit drivers for our Assisted Transportation program for homebound seniors. Each route involves posting flyers / dropping off brochures at 10-15 locations (coffee shops, libraries, senior centers, etc.) and will take approximately 2 hours. We'd like to repost every two months to make sure flyers are current.
This position is very flexible. Flyers can be posted at any time and are a vital part of our efforts to expand our services to reach more seniors in need of support.
Volunteer must have access to his/her own transportation.

Description
LIFE ElderCare provides the basics of life - food, friendship, support, and enhanced mobility - to seniors, age 60 and older. Meals On Wheels delivers hot, nutritious meals; Friendly Visitors provides weekly in-home companionship; Assisted Transportation links volunteers with seniors (and non-seniors with disabilities) who need destination assistance; and Fall Prevention offers in-home, personalized services to reduce the risk of falling. For those with more complex needs, we also offer case management and care coordination throughout Alameda County.
