This position will provide qualified interns with opportunities to learn through experience about many aspects of operations in a nonprofit organization. In this role, the intern will have the opportunity to apply and refine his/her skills related to program design and implementation, logistics and coordination of office processes/procedures, event planning and other office management functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of various ethnic backgrounds in written and oral form
- Keen attention to detail
- Passion for helping low income students and families
- Self-starter with the ability to work under a minimal level of supervision
- Previous experience working in multicultural and nonprofit organizations desired
Credentials: Current or recently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest to work in the nonprofit sector.

Description
Freedom City is starting a lunch mentoring program at Douglass High School in Oklahoma City. The lunch mentoring program will provide positive adult role models for high school students during lunch. The presence of positive adult role models will help the students express their feelings and develop relationships with supportive adults.
