Purpose in the Volunteering

ORGANIZATION: Compassus Hospice

At Compassus Hospice we join with our volunteers focusing towards a purpose. That is giving importance and meaning to our patients and caregivers. As a hospice we meet a wide range of needs. We feel that people should have quality and compassion for their whole life.
Vounteers are important. They are a compassionate presence to patients and they give time, sometimes 3 hours a month to more. This gives the caregivers a chance to go to the grocery store, pay bills and do basic errands.
We also have volunteers that are office administrative focus based. Paperwork, filing, scanning and other basic office skills helps us to work through the paperwork and stages of care that goes hand in hand with Hospice office work.

The purpose in the volunteering is making sure that needs are met with compassion.

Would you be interested in an hour a week, or a couple of hours every other week? We have volunteers that come in even though they work full time jobs, or they are students in medical school.
It takes people to bring time to volunteering. If you could give us a portion of time we will train and orient you onsite here at our main office in Colton. Meet me the volunteer coordinator and lets get you going as a volunteer with purpose.
