WASTED Is A Celebration of Sustainable Food. Celebrity chefs and mixologists are challenged to prepare dishes and cocktails using an ingredient that might otherwise be thrown away in their kitchen. The event aims to bring sustainability to the consciousness of both chefs, mixologists, and consumers and create a call-to-action around re-thinking food waste. And KFG needs YOU to help make it happen.

What is a Silent Auction? During a silent auction, bids are written on a sheet of paper that is commonly placed before or next to the item. At the predetermined end of the auction, the highest listed bidder wins the item.

TASKS:

• Familiarize yourself with the auction items. Be prepared to answer questions from guests.
• Set up auction items auction baskets with corresponding bid sheets/pens, and description (in acrylic holders)
• Make sure guests write their names and phone numbers legibly
• Close out BUY IT NOW winners during the event
• Determine winners at 5:00 PM
• Close out duties: provide winner with gift certificates and/or auction baskets
• Charge people for their items via square.

BONUS:

• All volunteers will have access to our VIP Lounge, filled with snacks and beverages.
• You will be provided with a custom KFG WASTED T-shirt to keep.
• You will have the opportunity before or after your shift to enjoy the event and sample food crafted by the competing celebrity chefs.
