After the sorting is complete, we distribute Holiday food items for prequalified low-income families, with children. The distribution is hosted at the Lake Cities United Methodist Church.
We provide a frozen turkey, potatoes, canned goods, soups, dessert mixes, and a small gift card for butter, eggs, and milk.
We need adults only to volunteer for check-in, passing out the gift cards, helping the families carry groceries to the car, and clean up.
The Distribution is on November 26 from 8;00 am -3:00 pm, you should register if you wish to volunteer. http://bit.ly/2R1SDXW

It is our mission to join with local churches, individuals, and businesses, to provide relief to our community by providing clothing, home goods, food, and even school supplies, for those in the Lake Cities area who have experienced some form of disaster in their lives.
Description
Michael Barnhart started There Has To Be More Ministries in August of 2010. During a transitional time in his career, he heard the calling to go into the Lake Cities to find and begin reaching out to those who needed a hand up. It was Michael's dream to work together with local churches, other like-minded ministries, businesses, schools, and individuals, to help families in crisis then to make sure they are able to become a viable part of the culture again. Reaching out to the hurting has become our mission. Not only do we want to share God's love with those who are hurting or have lost hope, but we want to remind them that they are valuable, that no matter where they are in life, they too have something to offer. You give, we give, they give. Together we make our community stronger.
