Spirit of Christmas Holiday Food Sorting

This year we will be sorting collected canned and boxed food at the Lake Dallas Elementary School on November 23 from 10:00 am -3:00 pm
Families, with children over 7 are encouraged to join us for this event. You can register to volunteer at http://bit.ly/2Oyb1e2 or just show up, we will be happy to have you there.
We always need volunteers with pickup trucks to help shuffle the food from LDE to the Lake Cities United Methodist church.

Mission Statement
It is our mission to join with local churches, individuals, and businesses, to provide relief to our community by providing clothing, home goods, food, and even school supplies, for those in the Lake Cities area who have experienced some form of disaster in their lives.
Description
Michael Barnhart started There Has To Be More Ministries in August of 2010. During a transitional time in his career, he heard the calling to go into the Lake Cities to find and begin reaching out to those who needed a hand up. It was Michael's dream to work together with local churches, other like-minded ministries, businesses, schools, and individuals, to help families in crisis then to make sure they are able to become a viable part of the culture again. Reaching out to the hurting has become our mission. Not only do we want to share God's love with those who are hurting or have lost hope, but we want to remind them that they are valuable, that no matter where they are in life, they too have something to offer. You give, we give, they give. Together we make our community stronger.
