About Happy Hats for Kids in Hospitals

Mission Statement

To ease the fears and anxieties of hospitalized children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses with whimsical Happy Hats and coordinating humorous, bi-lingual educational story/activity books. The kids learn that courage and bravery comes from within and each child is truly a "HERO". To shift the focus of the children and their families from discomfort and pain to heartwarming smiles and giggles. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serve children in 60 hospitals and their families throughout the South-bay and beyond

For the past 29 years Happy Hats for Kids in Hospitals, a non-profit organization, has been dedicated to uplifting the spirits and enriching the lives of hospitalized children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses as well as their families. Our volunteers make a great impact in bringing smiles and happiness to these kids through sewing and decorating our Happy Hats year around.
