Shelter Front Desk Volunteers Needed

You are needed to help end homelessness!
The Kennedy Shelter, a 50-bed emergency shelter for adults in Fairfax County, needs volunteers to help our Shelter Services Specialist (SSS) at the front desk so that all shelter guests feel welcome at the shelter.
Front desk volunteers will help answer phones and direct callers to the correct staff member, assist volunteers and donors that come into the shelter, work with guests that might need assistance, and more.
During downtime, volunteers will research potential housing rentals for housing locators.
Volunteers are needed Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers can sign up for a half day (9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12 to 3 p.m.) or a full day. We ask that volunteers commit to a set schedule each week and for a minimum of three months. Training will be provided on-site at the shelter.
Are you ready to get started? Fill out our online volunteer application here: http://bit.ly/NHHVolApp. In the application, you will be asked to sign up for a one-hour orientation.
If you have any questions, please contact Sami at 703-799-2293 x 11 or email@example.com.
We look forward to hearing from you!
