Do you thrive on keeping things organized?
Do you know your ABC's?
Do you want to be a part of ending homelessness in your community?
If this sounds like you, we need your help! The Kennedy Shelter, one of Fairfax County's homeless shelters for adults, is in need of organized and detail-oriented volunteers to help the case management team keep shelter guest paperwork organized and easy to find.
You will be an integral part of the case management team at the shelter, as you will help the case management team focus on working one-on-one with the guests in the shelter as they work to move from homelessness to housing. You will be in charge of filing paperwork for the team so that it can be quickly and easily accessible.
Volunteers are needed on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. We ask that volunteers commit to coming in once per week, for a minimum of three months.
Ready to get started? Fill out an online volunteer application: http://bit.ly/NHHVolApp. In the application, please sign up to attend an orientation.
If you have any questions, please contact Sami at 703-799-2293 x 11 or ssmyth@newhopehousing.org.
We look forward to hearing from you!
