Finance Champion Volunteer
ORGANIZATION: UNITED WAY OF GREENWICH INC
Please visit the new page to apply.
We are expanding the Financial Champions My Money Planning Program, which helps middle school students establish good money habits. The program will take place for ten sessions this fall and eight sessions in the spring at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich (BGCG). A flyer with a program description and schedule is attached.
Volunteers will work with students in groups or one-on-one and lead them through various games, activities and projects that help build good money practices. Each term culminates with a showcase and money earning project. Ideally one or more Board members from both of the Financial Champions partner organizations, GUW and BGCG, will sign on to volunteer.
We thought that this opportunity would offer a fun way for Board members to have a more hands on volunteer experience! Volunteers should attend a volunteer training session on 9/17 or 18 and should commit to participating in all (or most) sessions. Dates and times of the training, sessions and term end showcase are listed in the attached flyer.
If any of you are interested, please let me know. Or, feel free to contact Cecile Meunier, GUW Champions Coordinator, directly, ( cmeunier@greenwichunitedway.org or 203 869 2256).
