The gift shop is open when the museum is open which is Fri - Sun 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. It is also open for Special events at other times. The Square Register is used and very easy to learn. No experience is necessary. We have 2 people working at the front desk/entrance of the museum. One is the Greeter/Docent who welcomes the people and the other is a cashier who takes the money and enters into the register. Many people train for both positions. Some only want to do one or the other. We also need people to serve when we have special events which is at least once a month. You can work as little or as much as you want.

The mission of the West Pasco Historical Society Museum and Library is to preserve, educate and share the unique history and culture of West Pasco County Florida.
Description
The Museum and Library is located in a centurion school house in the center of Sims Park in New Port Richey, Florida. The museum was completely renovated and has over 40 new exhibits that tell a chronological story from over 15,000 years ago during the mastodon era, through the Native Americans and pioneer days when the towns and cities were created. The exhibits goes onto the 1920's when the silent movie stars, famous golfers and other famous people settled and visited here in hopes to form "The Hollywood of the East". The artifacts are amazing and we are very fortunate to have such memorabilia in our community. We need volunteers as greeters and docents and have a great training program. We also need cashiers for our newly expanded gift shop and people to work our square register system. You pick what job you would like to do.
