The Walgrove Wildlands is a habitat garden at Walgrove Elementary School in West Los Angeles. The 100% California native garden is over 25,000 square feet with forest, meadow, arroyo and coastal dune areas. The habitat is used for environmental education and only open to community members for volunteer days and garden tours. There is always something to do in the Wildlands; whether pulling weeds, fixing pathways, creating art, installing plants or moving boulders. We also take on a few small projects each year. It is a family friendly environment, but please no dogs. Work at your own pace. Water and bathrooms available. Accessible access.
Please join us for this Saturday morning in the garden. Alternate work days can be scheduled, contact us for more info.
Weather note: We work in the habitat, except when heavy rain is expected.
