Welcome! Friends of the Aliso Viejo Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, providing funding for new and ongoing library programs in the Aliso Viejo community. Through our re-sale bookstore, located on site at the Aliso Viejo Library, we fundraise, promote literacy, and have a whole lot of fun!


We are looking for a dedicated and reliable volunteer for our Friends Bookstore. If you have prior customer service or retail experience, or volunteer management skills, please apply!

• 2-6 hour weekly commitment
• Must be comfortable adding/subtracting and handling small amounts of cash
• Must be 16+

We need assistance with:

• Staffing and scheduling bookstore volunteers
• Operating the bookstore
• Keeping track of sales
• Providing excellent customer service to our patrons
• Helping promote our store items (sales, holiday themes, etc)

Friends Bookstore Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10:30am - 6:30pm
Friday: 10:30am - 4:30pm
Saturday: 9am - 4:30pm
Sunday: Closed
