Be a Pawmate!
We need someone on every shift to play and love on the dogs and someone to play and love on the cats. If you can throw a ball or hold a toy wand, we want you! We have morning shifts and late afternoon shifts. With a commitment of 1-1/2 hours a week, you could improve the lives of the dogs and cats in the shelter AND you can help them get adopted sooner. Dogs and cats that know how to play are more likely to be adopted. Contact us at HSMC2000@gmail.com or call us at 864-391-2349 for more information!

Mission Statement
The Humane Society of McCormick County was formed to help McCormick County, South Carolina residents and animals. The HSMC is comprised entirely of volunteers whose mission is to prevent cruelty to animals, to provide shelter and care for lost and unwanted animals, to implement educational programs and services, to place animals in humane environments, and to promote responsible pet ownership including spay and neuter. The HSMC is always looking for dedicated, animal-loving volunteers.
Description
The Humane Society of McCormick County is an all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue. We are the sole source of animal care because McCormick County has no cit or county-run shelter, or veterinarians. We are completely depend upon local donations and private grants to support our efforts to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats in our community. We are a non-profit so donations are tax-deductible. We offer a low-cost or no-cost spay and neuter program for any dog or cat in our county in an effort to humanely reduce the number of unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats.
