Harvey Milk Festival seeks individuals with relevant experience in the following areas.

Committees available to join or chair:

- Community Outreach and Education Initiatives
Plan and execute educational panel discussions, put together educational materials, assist with #Wesupport initiative. Plan and execute community-driven event programming.

- Communications and Promotion
Assist marketing team in promoting upcoming programs. Making promotional videos and materials

- Fundraising and Development
Locate funding and grant opportunities. Assist in orchestrating and executing fundraising events. Locating volunteers for any fundraising events we may have.

- Event Planning Committee
Assist in site planning for events, signage around the main festival in May, getting volunteers checked in during the main festival. Assist in setting a budget for upcoming events. Assist in creating fundraising plan. Plan themes for events. Assist in booking food trucks, vendors, and securing sponsors.

- Scholarship Committee
Add scholarship opportunities online, promote upcoming scholarship opportunities within the community, find a venue for scholarship performances if applicable, identify a panel of judges to review scholarship candidates, plan the award ceremony.

- HMF Street Team
Assist Harvey Milk Festival in getting the word out about our upcoming programs. Distribute promotional flyers and posters for display in local businesses. The street team captain will identify locations for distributing promotional materials.

- HMF Merchandise Committee
We are seeking individuals to help with graphic design for merchandise and signage, ordering, and designing store layout at the main festival and tabling events.

What does joining a committee entail?
Joining or chairing a Harvey Milk Festival committee is the most direct way to get involved with our organization. Committees allow community members to use special skills and abilities for the purpose of enhancing the overall community. Committee members should be skilled at working as part of a team to further HMF's mission.
