The Friends of the West Valley Branch Library need volunteers to help them set up and manage their Book Sale on Sat., Sept. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 22. Volunteers will help arrange and straighten books, move boxes of books, and organize books. Volunteers on Sunday afternoon will also help clean up by putting books in boxes and moving boxes into storage. This is a great opportunity for High School service groups or any teen or adult who wants to make a positive contribution to the library and the community. The Friends of the Library book sales raise money for the library that helps pay for library programs and services.

Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
