The Fargo VA is seeking to recruit volunteers to improve the Veteran experience in the Whole Health Department by facilitating communication, assisting with wayfinding, and providing information to Veterans in regards to Whole Health services and programs.
Whole Health Volunteers will:
-Communicate with Veterans regarding wait times, Veteran's needs, and their overall care experience
-Provide comfort items to Veterans and their family members (coffee, reading materials, etc.)
-Utilize the kiosk to help check Veterans in for their appointments
-Provide wayfinding directions and physically escort Veterans to other appointments
-Provide administrative assistance as time allows by running errands within the facility, filing, stuffing envelopes, etc.
Uniform required - Red vest provided by VA.
This exciting and fast-paced opportunity will require volunteers whom are energetic, patient-centered, flexible and have excellent verbal communication skills.
