Day of the Dead celebration in downtown Redwood City attracts over 10,000 people. We need approx. 45 volunteers for various tasks all day. We welcome any and all volunteers that are willing to work and move around, ages 15 and up. Please see shifts and descriptions below!
8:00 AM - 10:00 AM Altars Set Up: Help with Altars set up, 3-4 volunteers
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Booth Set Up: Place numbers, papel picado, help with lights, 6-7 volunteers
10:00am - 11:00 am Food Court Set Up: Move tables and chairs to food court area (heavy lifting), 3-4 volunteers
3:00 PM - 6:00 PM Face Painting: Assist at the Face Painting booth, experience is not necessary, artistic ability desired, 6-7 volunteers
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Face Painting: Assist at the Face Painting booth, experience is not necessary, artistic ability desired, 6-7 volunteers
5:00 PM - 9: 00 PM Survey Distribution: Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Help with passing out Surveys inside of the museum as people exit the Altars Exhibit, 6-7 volunteers in total
9:00 PM - 12:00 AM Clean up: Help with Courthouse Square clean up; trash, decorations, paper picado, etc, 10 volunteers

Description
We are a non-profit organization and seek to provide a space for Hispanic families in the Bay Area to devote their free time to creative and recreational activities. We offer all kinds of classes for every member. We have workshops, exhibitions, radio programs, theater, concerts, sports..all in Spanish. That way you feel right at home, and that's why our facility is called Casa Círculo.

- Must be at least 16
- You may choose how long you'd like to volunteer or pick specific shifts! We need help all day-- 8:00 AM - 11:00pm
- You must be hard working and ready to run around picking stuff up, moving stuff, and be able to move quickly. We provide lunch or dinner depending on your shift.
