You don’t need any background in debate or judging - we will train you. Here is what we need from you:
Debate Tournament at McLain High School
Commit to judge at least one shift (more needed!);
Attend a 30 minute judge training session at the tournament (built into your shift);
Be willing to provide support and encouragement to young people who are learning a new skill.

Shifts:
Friday, November 12th, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm. McLain High School.
Saturday, November 13th, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Monroe Middle School.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Tulsa Debate League is to provide students in Tulsa Public Schools the opportunity to participate in debate programs which build the critical thinking, communication, and literacy skills to succeed in college and career, and to become engaged citizens in our democracy.
Description
The TDL is part of the growing network of urban debate leagues across the country, which exist to institutionalize debate programs in underserved, low-income schools. We partner with Tulsa Public Schools to provide funding and professional development to schools and teachers, organize competitions, and create links to college and career opportunities.
