Wesley Housing’s After-School Program is designed to provide a safe academic and recreational environment for elementary children at its Community Resource Centers (CRC). Heavy emphasis is directed towards academic improvement and social skills development, both identified areas of weakness for at-risk children. We need patient and creative volunteers to help as Homework Helpers and Activities Helpers with children at study and play for the 2019-2020 school year.
Wexford Manor CRC: Falls Church, VA (Merrifield area)
Homework/Activities Helpers: 3:30-6:00pm
Monday-Thursday (homework/activities) Fridays (activities only)
Minimum 1 day per week commitment. Must be 16 years or older.

Wesley Housing is a nonprofit affordable housing developer operating 29 communities totaling over 2,300 affordable housing units, serving over 25,000 individuals. In addition to housing, Wesley Housing also provides services to its residents through Community Resource Centers which offer afterschool programs for youth, computer training, job skills training, ESL classes, nutrition classes and recreational programs for youth and adults.
