Each year the AARP Block Party travels to many cities, visiting events all across the country and this year they are stopping at Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. The block party features entertaining and unique ways to highlight AARP as an exciting organization! Festival goers who visit the block party will take part in fun activities and surprises for the entire family while learning more about what AARP is all about. No one can bring that to life as well as you.

The Oktoberfest runs from September 20th through the 22nd and is held downtown on Second and Third Streets between Walnut and Elm Streets. The Block Party will be set up on the parking lot at 30 W Third St. You can volunteer for one (or more!) of the three-hour shifts throughout the weekend to engage attendees in:

• The Digital Memory Game - Match tiles that reveal information about AARP programs and offerings to light up the board for all to see.
• Interactive Vending Machine - Attendees enter their information into a vending machine that will distribute AARP-branded travel related prizes.
• Photo Booth - Take a picture in front of a green screen with a fun design when they enter their information and get a physical and digital copy in an instant
• Prize Wheel - Spin the wheel to win an AARP-branded prize including ear buds, cooling towels, playing cards, and more

Some of the shifts are full already so please respond ASAP to get the shift you want from the following:

• Saturday, September 21; 5pm-8pm
• Sunday, September 22; 11am-2pm
• Sunday, September 22; 2pm-5pm
• Sunday, September 22; 5pm-8pm

To register for your shift, email Nicole Ware at nware@aarp.org and include the shift you want to volunteer for, your full name, email address, cell phone# and t-shirt size. Additional details about the party and your participation will be sent closer to the festival dates.
