We are looking for 2 volunteers every Sunday to take our residents from their apartments in the skilled nursing area of our building, sign them out, sit with them during service, sign them back in and then bring them back to their apartments.
We have a non-denominational church service every Sunday beginning at 2pm. The volunteers would report to our Chapel at 1:15 and would be done for the day by 3:15.
To become a volunteer, you will meet with the Volunteer Coordinator, Liz Vachon, and fill out paperwork that includes a criminal background check as well as complete at two-step tuberculosis test. We can complete both of these requirements for you on site, and there is no charge. Liz will speak with you about why you would like to volunteer and both Liz and the potential volunteer will collectively decide if you are a good fit for our community. We are looking for reliable, kind, and outgoing individuals who are looking for a long-term volunteer opportunity.
We are looking for consistent volunteers. Ideally, we would like you to commit to at least two Sundays per month. If you can do more, that would be fantastic.
Volunteers should be 18 or older to participate in this volunteer need.
