During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of both COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Volunteers can truly touch the lives of the patients and families in Hospice who are facing a terminal illness by providing patient & family support and caregiver relief. Volunteers provide emotional support and practical assistance that enhances the comfort and quality of life for patients and family/caregivers. These services include being available for companionship, listening, simply "being there", and may include activities such as playing cards, board games, watching a favorite TV show, reading, looking through photos, and journaling events in the person's life.

Kaiser Permanente exists to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.
Hospice is provided where you live, whether it is a house, an apartment, assisted living, a nursing facility, or another place. Hospice is also about Kaiser Permanente providing supportive services to patients and caregivers. By focusing on comfort and quality of life, hospice seeks to meet patients’ medical, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
For many people, quality of life is being able to be at home during their last stage of life. With its focus on quality of life and comfort care, hospice makes it more likely that patients can remain in their home at the end of their lives.
We'll work with your schedule.
