Paint Tacoma Beautiful is a program that provides free exterior painting to low income homeowners during the spring and summer months. Since 1985 Paint Tacoma Beautiful has mobilized volunteers to paint houses free of charge for more than 2,200 low income, elderly, and disabled homeowners across Pierce County. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to visually see the impact they are making, and build community. We look forward to this season being a time to experience the joy of being together while following CDC safety guidelines. Many of the homeowners who apply to our program often live in isolation due to age, disabilities, and other factors that limit them from leaving their homes and engaging with the community. Our program is all about showing up for them and building connections across generations, neighborhood lines, and other identities that separate us.
We are recruiting teams to prep and paint houses for our 2021 paint season. Get a group of family, friends or coworkers together to form a team and adopt a house!
