Photography Intern/ Work Study/ Volunteer Job Description
The Empowerment Factory (TEF) is a local non-profit looking for a passionate, creative and innovative volunteer to take pictures for events and programs run by our organization.This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge and gain experience. Be part of a team that is making a positive impact in our community.
Volunteers will work closely with the Executive Director and Office Manager.
We are asking for a minimum of 4 hours per week and are flexible on what days and times.

Responsibilities
- Must be able to meet deadlines, follow directions, and provide creative direction.
- Capturing moments with photography from our events and programming.
- Execute production of projects for projects in a timely manner while managing workflow
- Collaborate with others to create, and edit promotional and educational videos.
Qualifications
- Have a good eye for photography.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, ( Photoshop, Illustrator ).
- Able to organize photos in our system.
- Self-starter with ability to initiate and work independently.
Location is easily accessible by public transportation, directly on bus route.
Term: Summer, Fall and Spring
Hours: Negotiable

The Empowerment Factory (TEF) is dedicated to giving children the skills they need to lead happier, healthier lives. We focus on three areas of development: creativity, self-esteem, and civic pride. The Creative Squad programs blend hands-on activities with social emotional learning (SEL) and environmental education. Our vision is for every child to develop the confidence and ability to express themselves, while becoming actively engaged in their communities. Every child should feel that they matter and can make a difference in the world around them.
The Empowerment Factory offers programs and special events for schools, after school, organizations, libraries and youth groups that help children develop the skills they need to succeed.
It was founded by Gail Ahlers, as a nonprofit organization in April of 2014 and became a federally recognized 501(c)3 as of August 2016. Our blended learning model has positively impacted over 3700 urban youth with the creation of 34 after-school clubs and 13 summer programs, 90 percent of whom live in under-served communities.
